Sociology at the Department of Socioeconomics
In the sociology subject area, we focus on the social consequences of and conditions for economic activity. We look at individual actions as well as societal structures and institutions, and examine how they relate to one another. Research and teaching cover a broad spectrum of theoretical and empirical approaches. As part of the Department of Socioeconomics, we work with staff and students from the other subject areas and sociologists from the Department of Social Sciences.

The subject area regularly organizes the research colloquium on sociology with current topics.
