Standardized interviews
The purpose of quantitative surveys is to attempt to gain information about specific issues or interrelations within a population group using standardized methods which, as far as possible, create the same conditions for all interviewees. This can take the form of standardized telephone interviews, personal interviews, or online surveys, for example. The distribution and frequency of certain response categories is of greater relevance here than the interviewee’s personal opinion or perception.
