Mobile Laboratory

The mobile laboratory comprises 40 WLAN-enabled 2-in-1 notebooks for field experiments and CAPI surveys. The notebooks, which can be used both as tablets and also with dockable keyboards and displays, are used in the field to carry out interviews in individual situations. By means of a local area network, the notebooks can also be used as a mobile laboratory outside the Experimental Lab’s rooms. In this case the Research Lab provides cardboard privacy screens that prevent visual contact with the other participants.

The mobile laboratory makes it possible to carry out experiments on 30 clients at the same time using z-Tree and oTree, and to administer surveys using LimeSurvey. The WISO Research Lab provides you with software and hardware for the mobile laboratory and is glad to help you with technical issues, or to answer queries about the administration of the experiment or the survey.
