CAPI Software
The acronym CAPI stands for “computer-assisted personal interview.” This is a standardized, personal interview during which the interviewer documents the answers from the interviewees on a computer screen.
The Research Lab team at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences is ready to provide you with advice and support in the Survey Lab throughout the planning, performance, and evaluation of computer-assisted personal interviews (CAPI). In particular, we would be happy to support you with our expertise in the following:
- research project design
- operationalization
- design and programming of the questionnaire
- random-sample planning and procedure
- collection, preparation, analysis,and documentation of the data
We use the following software to perform CAPI surveys:
Voxco Mobile Offline
Voxco Mobile Offline enables researchers to carry out standardized, computer-assisted interviews using mobile tablet computers that the Research Lab can provide to interviewers and supervisors. All researchers at the WISO Faculty can use Voxco for extensive representative surveys and qualitative investigations on the basis of an unlimited laboratory license.Voxco Mobile Offline includes the following functions:
- comprehensive question types
- incorporation of images, audio files, and films
- filtered guidance: questions are shown on the basis of previous questions
- detailed quota system
- sampling management
- live monitoring of the results through device synchronization in the field
- intuitively navigable screen or app
