Sarah Fenske, Alexander Rödl, and Lena Höpken had the opportunity to attend the 17th Conference of the International Society for Third-Sector Research from 14 to 17 July 2026 and present their research in the fields of volunteer management and trust-based philanthropy there.

This year, the conference was hosted by the Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (Iscte) and was held under the motto of “Imagining the Next Generation: Strengthening the Foundations of the Third Sector.” It brought together some 700 researchers, doctoral researchers, and practitioners from more than 40 countries, and gave them the opportunity to discuss the latest developments in the field of nonprofit management and also network internationally.
