Research Cooperation #UHH engagiert

Since 2009, the chair of Professor Boenigk has been offering Service Learning Seminars in which students work on real problems in nonprofit organizations with the goal of promoting civil society awareness and creating a link between theory and practice.  Our professorship offers Service-Learning as part of the newly founded network #UHHengagiert, which increases the civil-society-oriented accountability of academic research and teaching. As an alliance between faculties, informal institutions, and projects at the Universität Hamburg, it strives to promote both applied research as well as research orientation itself and serves to integrate a bigger awareness of social responsibility into teaching and learning culture.
