Membership in the Network of Forced Migration
The German Task Force Global Research Collaborations in Forced Migration Studies was founded in 2013 at a conference in Berlin on the 20th anniversary of the asylum law reform. In this multidisciplinary network, researchers conduct research on all aspects of flight and refugee protection. The inter- and transdisciplinary exchange of experience strengthens academic refugee research and enables the transfer of research results into practice. To this end, this network on flight research organizes, among other things, scientific meetings, conferences, provides information via online platforms, newsletters and social media, and publishes blogs and journals that are effective for the public. As a member, Prof. Dr. Silke Boenigk deals with the influence of transformative services in relation to the refugee crisis. Her main research interests are
- Service Management
- Transformative Service Research
- cross-sector partnerships
- Refugee Camp Governance
Meanwhile Jana Hesse, M.Sc. has also joined the network. She is in charge of the refugee integration project #UHHilft - University to help Refugees at the Universität Hamburg, which was founded by Professor Boenigk in 2015 and is funded by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service).
