From September 15 to 17, 2021, the University of Hamburg, together with the German Red Cross (DRK), will host the 4th European Conference on Donor Health and Management (ECDHM). The conference, which was originally planned to be held on-site in the University of Hamburg's main building on Edmund-Siemers-Allee, will now take place virtually due to continuing restrictions.

The European Conference on Donor Health and Management (ECDHM) provides the premier platform for knowledge and strategy exchange with regard to donor health and donor management. Focusing on blood donation, it also includes organ and stem cell donation. It addresses not only researchers from leading universities, but also CEOs, medical directors, regulators, physicians and nurses, blood and organ donation staff.

Together with other colleagues, Prof. Dr. Silke Boenigk focuses on business aspects and their compatibility with medical criteria.
