48th ARNOVA Conference San Diego

The 48th International Conference of the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA) was held in San Diego, California (USA) from November 20-23, 2019. The conference had the overall theme "Nonprofits and Philanthropy in a Polarized World: Speaking Truth to Power and Using Power to Speak Truth”.
Ahead of the conference, Prof. Dr. Silke Boenigk and Peter Schubert first attended the Doctoral Fellows Workshop and then presented a joint study at the conference entitled "The Impact of Donor and Board Pressure on Cost Reporting - An Experiment among Nonprofit Managers". Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Silke Boenigk and Annika Becker presented a study entitled "The Public's Trust in Nonprofit Organizations: Evidence from a Large-Scale Study".
After work there was still time for a short walk on Mission Beach with a view of the Pacific Ocean.
