Data for research projects
Text and data mining
Text and data mining (TDM) is the automatic analysis and extraction of information from large numbers of documents, i. e. fulltext articles of an entire volume of a newspaper. While some publishers grant text- and data-mining rights to subscribed content to researchers via their institutions, provided the purpose is non-commercial research, TDM often requires additional text and data mining rights for saving, copying and archiving data which are usually not included in our current licenses. Formore information, please consult the information on the Text and Data Mining webpage.
For specific information please contact Sabine Rauchmann, sabine.rauchmann"AT"uni-hamburg.de.
Corporate or financial data
Some data providers offer the fee-based service to create custom-made datasets for project-specific purposes. If you need corporate or financial data for your research project and we do not hold licenses to those data, please contact Sabine Rauchmann, sabine.rauchmann"AT"uni-hamburg.de.
Official microdata
If you are a member of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences and you need official microdata, i. e. from the Research Data Centres, please inform us about your data request before placing the order with the Research Data Centre. We will provide you with an inventory number, which is required by the Team Campus-Einkauf for processing the invoice.
