International funding programs

External funding in numerous ways supports the internationalization of universities. The main funders include the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with its range of programs and the EU's ERASMUS+ educational program.

These programs promote internationalization and include study and exchange partnerships; funding to broaden or develop new cooperation; funding for guest lecturers or summer academies abroad; as well as a variety of other region-specific cooperation and mobility programs.

Within the scope of Universität Hamburg’s strategic partnership network, researchers can take part in a research or teaching assignment at one of our international partner universities.
