Research advising and funding

The Dean's Office supports the preparation of applications for external funding by scientists of the faculty by regularly issuing calls for internal research funding.

The Office of the Vice Dean for Research supports researchers of the faculty in the communication with the departments of the central administration and third-party funding bodies. We accompany application projects and offer advice.

As early as in the planning phase of a project application, we would like to ask you to send us a "Drittmittelanzeige" (Notification of an externally funded project) and the draft application. The "Notification of an externally funded project" is necessary for the initiation of necessary processes at the administrative level.

The newsletter of the WiSo-Faculty and the information service FIT for science provide tailor-made up-to-date information on the support of research and young scientists, information on calls for proposals, the support of international scientific activities and the transfer of scientific results into practice, project financing, scholarships and science prizes.

A research seminar is a regular series of events to provide a forum for current scientific exchange. In this context travel and accommodation costs of invited guests can be covered by the faculty.

Professors at the University of Hamburg have the opportunity to apply for a research sabbatical at regular intervals.
