What concerns does the Complaints Office address?
The WiSo Complaints Office offers advice and mediation in conflicts concerning exams. It works independently and ist not subject to directives.
The WiSo Complaints Office does not replace the official channels for complaints and appeals , it is not a reviewing body and legally not entitled to alter the design of exams or their assemssment. Rather, it provides additional support in cases of conflict.
If you have a complaint about an exam result or the way in which an examination was conducted, always talk with the teaching staff member or examiner first. Should this discussion not yield a solution, you can appeal to the competent examinations board. A formal appeal to the examinations board is the only way of initiating a legal review and, if applicable, correction of the decision you have contested.
