Advice and support from the office of the Vice Dean for Research

The office of the Vice Dean for Research serves as the first point of contact for scientists of the faculty. We support researchers in the interface communication with the departments of the university administration and the third-party funding bodies. Furthermore, we accompany application projects and offer advice.

The Vice Dean's Office for Research has developed a short, basic guide for the preparation of a research proposal to a third-party funding body, which is intended to help first-time applicants in particular to navigate through the application process. Support from the university administration of the UHH

The Departmentent 4: Research Management and Funding of the university administration has compiled an overview of the contact persons for each phase of your externally funded project in the "External funding portal", which can serve as a first orientation. Here you will find information on various third-party funding sources and funding programmes.

In planning and calculating the required project budget, you can get support from the colleagues in third-party funding management ("Drittmittelmanagement"). Please contact the colleagues in good time (at least 6 weeks before the deadline). You can find the contact person for your department by following this link.
