Fellowship position in the field of Socio-Legal Studies, Cultural Studies, European Ethnology, Anthropology or Sociology

The interdisciplinary project “Meaningful Human Control – Autonomous Weapon Systems between Regulation and Reflection” invites applicants from the Global South to take up a one-month fellowship position in the sub-project “Artificial Intelligence and Human Sense-making in the Law” at Universität Hamburg.
The sub-project is examining how algorithmic forms of knowledge production feed into the language of the law, and how the law, and ethics, are able to contribute to the control of Autonomous Weapon Systems.
The fellowship position includes a stay in Germany from the end of April to the end of May 2024, as well as participation in an international conference on Autonomous Weapon Systems from May 22 to 24, 2024, at the University of Paderborn.
