Doctorate and Habilitation
You can do a doctorate or Habilitation in the Department of Social Sciences.
Early career researchers are assigned to one of the Department’s professors. The Faculty’s graduate school provides supervision in the subject and offers a host of courses for doctoral researchers, who can take other courses offered by the University or external institutions. See the graduate school website for information on doing a doctorate or Habilitation.
You may also do a Habilitation in any of the Department’s subjects. The vice dean for research oversees the process. You can find the current Habilitation regulations at
If you are interested in doing a doctorate or Habilitation, check to see if there are any openings at the University or contact a professor whose work interests you.
