Increase of funding amount to 2,000 euros

The maximum funding amount per doctoral student in 2023 has been increased from €750 to €2,000. In addition, postdocs can now also apply for funding of up to a maximum of €2,000 per postdoc.
In 2023 the Graduate School can provide funding for:
- participation in (online-) scientific conferences
- participation in (online-) summer schools or (online-) workshops
- fieldwork and research stays
- direct research needs (to procure data sets or cover transcription costs)
- proofreading and editing of texts in English
In 2023, the maximum funding amount per doctoral candidate is €2,000. This can be distributed among several projects. In justified exceptional cases, an additional amount can be requested for fieldwork and research stays (only applies to doctoral students). Decisions about funding are made based on the available funding and funding criteria. Applications for funding can be submitted to the Graduate School office at the latest by November 15th, 2023. The invoices and receipts must be submitted to the Graduate School office at the latest by December 1st, 2023. Financial support for events taking place in 2024 is not possible.
