IIFS & Curt Eisfeld Library (Special locations)
The two special locations form part of the Library WISO/BWL in terms of organization and administration. They are located near the main campus.
Their collections are limited to a few highly specialized fields while offering a very extensive range of materials.
International Tax Institute Library (IIFS)
The International Tax Institute (Interdisziplinäres Zentrum für Internationales Finanz- und Steuerwesen, IIFS) was founded in 1980 by the Parliament of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg in order to promote interdisciplinary research in the field of taxation. To this end, subject areas were set up within each discipline and weighted equally—an approach unique in Germany. The three subject areas are international tax law, international corporate taxation, and international finance (source: home page of the Institute).
The International Tax Institute Library was established as a special location of the Business and Economics Library after the IIFS was integrated into Universität Hamburg as an institute and the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences assumed responsibility for the International Tax Institute Library.
