On Monday June 26th, 2023, we are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Paula Jarzabkowski as a guest lecture as part of the seminar series on “Sustainable Transformation and Cross Sector Collaboration”. Hosted by the Chair for Organization Studies the first, inaugural lecture on “Disaster Insurance Reimagined: Protection in a Time of Increasing Risk” will take place at Von-Melle-Park 9, Room A 215 at 16.30. 

Paula Jarzabkowski is a Professor of Strategic Management at University of Queensland and City, University of London, and Co-Editor of Strategic Organization. Her research focuses on the practice of strategy and markets in complex, pluralistic, and paradoxical contexts. As an expert for insurance protection gaps, Paula will talk about her forthcoming book on ‘Protection Gap Entities’ (PGEs), which are not-for-profit insurance mechanisms that attempt to address the crisis in disaster insurance.
