Welcome to the Chair for Organization Studies!

The Chair for Organization Studies (Prof. Dr. Daniel Geiger) was inaugurated at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences in April 2013. In our research, we focus on two main areas: the coordination and handling of crises and complex emergencies, and management of the tensions that organizations are presented with when dealing with grand societal challenges such as climate change and refugee emergencies.

We offer a variety of lectures and seminars for bachelor’s, master’s, Ph.D. and further degree programs at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences.

Our research is published in the leading international and national management journals such as the Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Science, Organization Studies, and the Journal of Management Studies.

In addition, Prof. Daniel Geiger is a member of the Executive Board of the European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS) and serves as a member of the Editorial Board of numerous organization and management journals. Prof. Geiger is also Senior Editor of the journal Organization Studies.
