Professor Geiger teaches executive course on Disaster and Risk Management at Uganda Management Institute

In collaboration with the Ugandan Management Institute based in Kampala, Uganda, we jointly designed an executive course on the Management of Disasters and Risks. This course brings together development practitioners, policy actors and all stakeholders in Disaster & Risk Management at local, national and international level. It will provide participants not only with a solid theoretical and conceptual understanding of disaster and risk management, but also takes them through the practical application of the concept and practices in different settings.

The first cohort of the course was launched from 18.-21. June 2019 in Kampala. Given the great feedback we received the course will now be turned into a biannual program.
