In an effort to foster the exchange between academia and practice, the chair for organization studies has successfully established a cooperation with four of the largest trading companies in Hamburg: Neumann Group, Helm AG, Gebr. Heinemann, and Wünsche Group. Within the scope of the MIBAS seminar “The Future of SME’s: Between Responsibility, Continuity, and Change” students conducted consulting projects that tackled problems which have been identified by the companies in the areas of: 1) Digital transformation, 2) New work, 3) Organizational culture, and 4) Agile organization. On Friday, January 11th 2019, the students presented their results to representatives and board members from all four organizations and received valuable feedback. Overall, the students benefited from a great learning experience, whilst the corporations got important impulses for tackling their future challenges.
We would like to thank Neumann Group, Helm AG, Gebr. Heinemann, and Wünsche Group for the efforts invested in this seminar. Further, we thank Dr. Sarah Tischer for initiating this fruitful cooperation!
