Criminology departmental student representative committee
About us
The Criminology departmental student representative committee represents the interests of all students in the international criminology master’s program and the criminology professional master’s degree. Our members are elected every year at our annual meeting, but you can join and participate at any time. We welcome every new member!
What we do- Orientation: we organize an orientation module for first-year students, which generally takes place in the first week of the semester. We help you to find your way around the campus, answer your questions about student life in Hamburg, and give you the opportunity to meet your fellow students. For more information about the orientation program, send us an email.
- Support: Hamburg is one of the most beautiful and exciting cities in the world, and we want you to enjoy your time as a student here to the fullest! We can gladly help with any questions or problems with your studies or in your personal life. We also offer assistance (anonymously, if desired) with issues or incidents between students and lecturers or other staff.
- Events: we hold regular student events, like our criminology Christmas party and our summer bash. We also organize guest lectures and donation drives.
- Research equipment: do you need special equipment for a research project? We’ve got almost everything a researcher’s heart could possibly desire: cameras, dictation machines, and transcription software and hardware. Let us know if you need anything else for your project and we’ll do our best to help you get it.
