This year’s annual conference of the European Group for Organizational Studies took place from 4.-7. July in Edinburgh. Under the theme “Enlighting the Future” 2200 scholars from more than 60 countries discussed their work on Organization Studies. Jan Hoekzema, Daniel Geiger and Waldemar Kremser were invited to present their paper on “Granularity Matters! Towards a Methodological Framework for Routine Studies”. Ali Aslan Gümüsay presented his paper "New hybrid organizational forms and their liability of novelty” in the sub-theme entitled "Institutional Theory and Problem-driven Research: The Challenge of Normativity”. We are back from a week filled with stimulating intellectual discussion, lots of networking and the pleasure of being part of a vibrant community of scholars.
