Diskussionsveranstaltung zu den Just Energy Transition Partnerships (JETPs)

Am 26. Mai 2025 fand im Berliner Büro des German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) eine interdisziplinäre Diskussionsveranstaltung zum Thema „Gerechte Energie- und Entwicklungspartnerschaften: Herausforderungen und Zukunftsperspektiven der Just Energy Transition Partnerships (JETPs)” statt.

Expert:innen aus Politik, Zivilgesellschaft, Entwicklungszusammenarbeit und Wissenschaft kamen zusammen, um in vertraulichem Rahmen über den aktuellen Stand, zentrale Herausforderungen und zukünftige Perspektiven der JETPs zu diskutieren. Ziel war es, eine kritische Zwischenbilanz zu ziehen und Wege für eine sozial gerechte und ökologisch tragfähige Energiewende in internationalen Partnerschaften aufzuzeigen.

Die Veranstaltung wurde organisiert von Anna Fünfgeld (Universität Hamburg & GIGA), Dr. Jörg Wischermann (GIGA) und Lea Kammler (Universität Hamburg).

Panel Discussion on Just Energy Transition Partnerships (JETPs)

On May 26, 2025, an interdisciplinary panel discussion took place at the Berlin office of the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA), focusing on “Just Energy and Development Partnerships: Challenges and Future Perspectives of the Just Energy Transition Partnerships (JETPs).”

Experts from politics, civil society, development cooperation, and academia gathered in a confidential setting to discuss the current state, key challenges, and future prospects of the JETPs. The aim was to take stock of ongoing developments and explore pathways toward a socially just and ecologically sustainable energy transition through international partnerships.

The event was organized by Anna Fünfgeld (University of Hamburg & GIGA), Dr. Jörg Wischermann (GIGA), and Lea Kammler (University of Hamburg).
