Online Media Monitor (OMM)
More and more people get their information about climate change via online media. In order to capture and to understand the online debate on climate change, CliSAP has funded the development and installation of an online observation tool which provides us with the necessary data to analyze the current discussions within the international online media. It is called the Online Media Monitor (OMM).
The media and its reporting on climate change is currently being analyzed in more than 20 countries all over the world. We want to find out more about the topics that are in the focus of the climate debate and the intensity of reporting about these topics in the world's leading media. And we are following the debate on climate change taking place on Twitter.
