Starting the Program

Dear first year MIBAS students,

We welcome you to the Master of Arts in International Business and Sustainability at Universität Hamburg in the Department of Socioeconomics, Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences!

If you have questions before the start of your studies, please get in touch with the responsible point of contact:

  • For questions about your enrollment, semester documents, or tuition fees, please contact the Campus Center.

MIBAS Orientation Days

MIBAS Orientation Days

To help you settle into the MIBAS program at Universität Hamburg, we offer a special MIBAS orientation event every year right before the start of your studies. You will have the opportunity to consolidate your information about the program, ask questions, get to know the campus and meet your fellow students. We strongly recommend all new students to participate in the Orientation Days.

In 2021, the MIBAS Orientation Days will take place from Wednesday, 6 October to Friday, 8 October 2021.  You will be invited by your fellow students organizing the event.

International Welcome Week

International Welcome Week

The International Welcome Week, organized by the PIASTA team of the university, takes place two weeks before the official start of the semester. The PIASTA team invites students from all departments to take part. At this event, you can get general information about living and studying in Hamburg. You can also become more familiar with the campus and University, meet other first-year students, and discover the beauty of Hamburg.

PIASTA is a service of the Department of International Affairs at Universität Hamburg. Our goal is lively exchange between German and international students. We offer trips in and around Hamburg, seminars, computer support, café evenings, online networking, general and specific information and advice, and more—without stress or the pressure of deadlines. Most activities are free.
