Types of assessment: Written Exam in Physical Attendance, Take-Home-Exams, Oral Exams, Paper, Presentation

Student coursework to the class (short essays, problem sets, presentations etc.) might be graded and can be announced as a prerequisite for admission to the final exam. The course lecturer will announce information about the exam type and the coursework at the beginning of the class.

Attendance: generally expected, mandatory in seminars

Exam Period: For Written Exams, Take-Home-Exams, Oral Exams there will be two examination dates offered, one right after lectures end and one prior to the beginning of the second semester. For presentations and papers, there will be one date only. The exact exam dates will be published in STiNE.

Exam Registration: Registration and Deregistration is possible up to 72 hours before the examination date in STiNE. Incoming students will regularly be registered for the first examination date.

B.SC. Economics

As a Bachelor student enrolled in the B.Sc. Economics at Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences, you can choose courses from all Bachelor programs at the Faculty that are open to International Students.

Additionally, you can apply for courses from the B.Sc. Business Administration at the University of Hamburg Business School that are open to International Students.

Please have a look at the course catalogue and note that at least 50% of your courses must be from the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences.

M.SC. Economics

As a Master student enrolled in the M.Sc. Economics at Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences, you can choose courses from all Master programs at the Faculty that are open to International Students. Please have a look at the course catalogue

EXCEPTION: MIBAS courses are only open to students who are enrolled in the MIBAS program.

M.SC. Politics, Economics and Philosophy

As a Master student enrolled in the M.Sc. Politics, Economics and Philosophy at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences, you can choose courses from all Master programs at the Faculty that are open to International Students. Please have a look at the course catalogue
