Buddy for everybody!
Our Buddy-Programme offers activities during the entire semester in order to show you Hamburg from its' best side and to give a wonderful time for our international incoming students.
We are searching for motivated students from our university who are willing to take care of the "new Hamburger": From organizational issues such as pick-ups from the airport over registration and opening a bank account down to the question where to go for a beer or what sights to see, the buddies will be happy to assist you.
Every guest student who wants it, will get his or her personal buddy to assist during the study period in Hamburg.
The Buddy-program for the Winter Term 24/25 (events with a ":-)" require a prior registration).

For our first event of the new semester we went straight to the very center of Hamburg. The guided city hall tour taught us some interesting new facts. For example that the major has to stand on a specific spot to greet their guests.
Here you see the great hall which is used for receptions and banquets such as the famous Matthiae meal.
Excursion to the concentration camp Neuengamme. The tour guide showed us around the facilities and explained what tragic historical moments had happend on exactly these grounds over 70 years ago.
An evening full of culture and creativity at the Long Night of Museums.
Expededition through our solar system at the Planetarium.
To welcome our new incoming students we started the summer semester 2024 with a dinner at the Hofbräuhaus where we enjoyed traditional German food and beverages.
