Two new international degree programs at the Department of Social Sciences

At the Department of Social Sciences two new international master`s programs will start in the 2026/27 winter semester. The research-oriented master`s program "Political Science" will replace the former, non-international master`s program, the second master`s program "Communication and Journalism Research for a Sustainable Society" will replace the former master`s program "Journalism and Communication Science" and is research- and transfer-oriented.

Both programs have an international focus and can be studies entirely in English.

The application period for both master`s programs begins on February 15, 2026, and ends on March 31, 2026.
