Please, pick up a break disk at the circulation desk if you want to take a break but keep your work station.

From Friday 05 January 2018, we ask you to pick up a break disc at the circulation desk if you want to take a break but keep your workstation. Put the break disk onto your workstation as soon as you leave it. Take a break for no more than one hour. If you leave your workstation for more than one hour or without break disk it will not be kept available for you.

The break discs help us to offer workstations to as many students as possible during the written examination period.

Please return the break disc to the circulation desk after use at the end of each day.

Fee adjustment for the University of Hamburg library system from 3 February 2025
Starting 3 February 2025, the fees for issuing replacement library cards and library cards for external users as well as the fees for interlibrary loans will be increased. Library cards for students at University of Hamburg and other state universities will remain free of charge.
