Neeharika Kakunuri is a visiting scholar and PhD candidate from the University College Dublin (UCD) under the supervision of Prof Frank Walsh. She is currently visiting Prof Miriam Beblo and her team at Universität Hamburg. Neeharika's work focuses on development issues in South Asia with a strong focus on gender.
Neeharika holds a master's degree in Applied Economics and a bachelor's degree in Economics, Sociology, and History from Mount Carmel College, Autonomous, India. In 2020, she worked as a data analyst in Citi Bank's regulatory division.
Her research interests include:
- gender-based violence
- fertility decisions
- social policy.
