Dennis Becker is a research assistant at the chair for labor, family, migration, and gender economics (Prof. Dr. Miriam Beblo) since October 2018.
He graduated with a B.A. in Socioeconomics at the Universität Hamburg in 2015. In his Bachelor thesis, he analyzed the correlation of gender specific wording in job offers and the gender segregation of the labor market.
Following his bachelor’s degree, he studied the M.A. „Labor, Economy and Society (Economic and Sociological Studies)“. In 2017, he completed his degree with an econometric analysis of the impact of gender composition on study success.
After working as a market analyst, Dennis is doing his PhD on the effects of gender composition in German Higher Education.
His research interest lies in the fields of:
- Educational economics
- Peer effects
- Social policy
