Extension request for final thesis
If you are ill, you can request an extension to complete your final thesis. Requests must be submitted immediately and include proper proof (e.g., doctor’s note). The proof must prove hardship and provide information about duration.
Requests are handled by the academic office as quickly as possible. The new due date will be sent to you.
Please note that an extension may not exceed half of the original completion time. In individual cases of extraordinary hardship, the examinations board chair may grant longer extension periods. For longer-term or multiple instances of illness, an informal, well-founded request can be submitted to the examinations board chair.
