Requesting to recognize elective-area credits
You can submit a request to record credits in your elective area if you have successfully completed work in an elective area eligible for credit and not recorded in STiNE but for which there are paper certificates. This applies, for example, for language courses at the adult education center for the bachelor’s programs in sociology and political science.
Credits must be demonstrated by the required certificate and be submitted together with the request and the following information:
- Name and student ID number
- Semester, course/module title, and course/module type (e.g., lecture, seminar)
- Number of ECTS
- Name and stamp or seal of institutes/department/degree program
- Teacher’s signature
If an entry is made into your STiNE course account recording the credits, your request has been successful. You will receive a response to your request only if it is rejected.
If recognition relates to a minor in sociology (BA) or political science (BA), you must submit the decision to the academic office for your major so that the achievements can be entered into STiNE.
