RESEARCH

Our research currently focuses on the following topics:

  • Computer-aided Text Analysis
For example: Which narratives determine the formation of expectations and how can concepts such as "sentiment", "narrative" or "topic" be made analytically useful in economic policy discourses?
  • Expectations
For example: How do inflation forecasts and inflation perceptions influence households' expectation formation?
  • Forecasts
For example: How and why do professional forecasters adjust their expectations, and what role do fundamental crises such as the 2008 financial crisis or the Corona pandemic play in this process?
