More Information about the Preparatory Course in Microeconomics
The aim of this course is to prepare students of the master’s program in Politics, Economics and Philosophy (PEP) for the economics courses of the PEP curriculum. Participants are introduced to the language and fundamental concepts of decision theory and game theory. Participation is voluntary but strongly recommended, in particular for those who do not have a first degree in economics.
The course takes place from 30 September 2024 - 10 October 2024. Lectures take place from 10:00-12:00 and tutorials from 13:00-16:00 on each day. Tutorials consist of group work and class discussions on problems/exercises. They will allow participants to familiarize themselves with the concepts covered in the lectures and apply them to the exercises. Lecture slides and exercises will be provided via STiNE. Technical details will be announced before the start of the course.
