Die erste internationale 'open access'- Buchreihe im Bereich Medien und Journalismusforschung ruft zur Manuskripteinreichung auf. Michael Brüggemann ist einer der Gründer und Mitherausgeber dieser Buchreihe.
First international open access book series in media and journalism studies calls for manuscripts. Michael Brüggemann is one of the founding editors of the book series.
Global Communications is a new book series that looks beyond national borders to examine current transformations in public communication, journalism and media. It focuses on the role of communication in the context of global ecological, social, political, economic, and technological challenges in order to help us understand the constantly and rapidly changing media environment.
Editors encourage comparative studies as well as single case studies, especially if they focus on regions other than Western Europe and North America. Until now, they have received most of the scholarly attention. Empirical studies as well as textbooks are welcome. Books should remain concise and not exceed 300 pages but may offer online access to a wealth of additional material documenting the research process and providing access to the data.
Authors are supported throughout the publishing process
Manuscripts benefit from thorough peer review and speedy publication. Authors are supported throughout the process by the series editors. Global Communications Series aspires to publish theoretically well-grounded, methodologically sound, relevant, novel research, presented in a readable and engaging way.
Global Communications is the first Open Access book series in the field to combine the high editorial standards of professional publishing with the fair Open Access model offered by OBP. Open Access helps spread research results and other educational materials to everyone everywhere: OBP supports publishing that respects the authors and serves the public interest.
