Study abroad
Both the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences and Universität Hamburg have numerous partner universities abroad. Information about the many international opportunities can be found on the homepages of the International Office of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences (especially for Erasmus opportunities) and the Department of International Affairs at Universität Hamburg (other exchange possibilities).
Before each period of study abroad, a Learning Agreement should be completed listing the courses that you should or can take at the partner university. If you are planning to study abroad, please contact your degree program coordinator to clarify which coursework and examination grades can count toward your degree program. In the degree programs for economics, study abroad is not required, but is, of course, encouraged. In order to integrate a semester abroad seamlessly into your studies, we recommend that you arrange an advising appointment well in advance with your degree program coordinator.
The MSc in Economics offers two of its own exchange programs with the University of Essex and the University of Edinburgh.
