Courses
Please see the course catalog for incoming students.
Please note: Bachelor’s students may not attend courses for master’s students and vice-versa.
Course registration
In order to register for courses, please complete the online form. For all incoming students in the bachelor’s and master’s programs in economics, course registration takes place during the late registration period. If you have any questions please contact the responsible departmental coordinator during office hours.
Please note: There is no late registration, nor may students withdraw from the program after the changes and corrections period. When you register for a course, you automatically register for the first exam.
You may attend courses offered by other faculties. You are responsible for registering for these courses on your own and will need to speak to the responsible academic office about attendance.
Exams
Courses usually conclude with a final written exam. A written exam requires the student to complete a predefined task under supervision, independently, and using permissible materials only. A written exam can last between 45 and 180 minutes. Written exams may also be given in the form of a multiple-choice test.
Other possible types of exams offered may include oral examinations, term papers, presentations, or take-home exams (THE).
Examination periods
Exams for bachelor’s and master’s students will take place during the regular examination periods.
For each course, there are two alternative examination dates: one at the end of the semester and one prior to the beginning of the next semester. Incoming students are automatically registered for the first examination date. Please inform the departmental coordinator if you would prefer to register for the second examination date.
Announcing exam results
Please visit the overview of dates (see späteste Notenbekanntgabe) to find out when exam results are announced at the latest.
Transcript of Records (ToR)
Trancripts of Records are issued only after all results of your course exams are made available in STiNE. Please fill in the online form. If you attended courses in other Faculties and your courses are not listed in STiNE, you need to hand in certificates at the Academic Office Economics.
Please note: Remember that it is not possible to issue a ToR until all grades have been published in STiNE. This may cause a delay in providing the documents.
