Study outside Europe with Faculty exchange

Faculty Exchange

Besides the ERASMUS+ program, you also have the opportunity to study abroad outside of Europe through the faculty exchange. 

Important information about the faculty exchange:

  • No tuition fee at the host university (some universities might require you to pay a semester fee, similar to the one all students have to pay at UHH)
  • Support from the home and host university
  • Depending on the citizenship, students might need to acquire a visa for partner universities in certain countries
  • You can apply for a hamburglobal scholarship (ERASMUS+ scholarship is only available to students studying within EU countries)

If you are interested in studying abroad, you can get more information during our office hours - you don't need an appointment, you can just come by! The application process is linked to the application for the ERASMUS+ program. Therefore, it is possible to include ERASMUS+ partnerships and faculty exchange partnerships in your priority list for host universities.
