The Center for Sustainable Society Research welcomes Prof. Laurel Smith-Doerr as visiting researcher.
The CSS is very proud to welcome Prof. Laurel Smith-Doerr as a visiting researcher for the next two month.
Prof. Laurel Smith-Doerr is professor of Sociology and inaugural Director of the Institute for Social Science Research at University of Massachusetts, Amherst since 2013. Her research areas are mainly in the fields of Science and Technology Studies as well as the Sociology of Gender, Organizations and Social Networks. She will be spending April and May 2020 at the CSS. Her most recent project focuses on the racial equity issues in Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered technolgies, which she will pursue during her stay here.
