CGG Director Anita Engels and CGG member Timo Busch appointed to steering committee of science platform on climate protection in Berlin

Federal Environment Minister Svenja Schulze and Federal Research Minister Anja Karliczek have launched a science platform on climate protection in Berlin. CGG Director Prof. Dr. Anita Engels and her colleague and CGG member Prof. Dr. Timo Busch will provide decision-making knowledge for the review and updating of the Climate Protection Plan 2050.
The Federal Government's new science platform will consider the effectiveness, costs and side effects as well as opportunities and risks of climate protection measures. "Selected natural and social science research institutions will work together on an interdisciplinary basis and enter into a regular exchange between science, society and politics," according to a communication from the Federal Environment Ministry.
