ESPANet PhD conference and Expert Seminar
From March 19th to 21st, 2018, an international international PhD Conference and Expert Seminar of the European Social Policy Analysis Network (ESPANet) was organised at the CGG, with the title “New Trends in the Development of Work-Family Policies, Gender and Care – Causes, Dynamics and Consequences”. It aimed at analysing and discussing causes and social consequences of welfare reforms in family and care policies as well as the further development of theoretical approaches and concepts. 18 PhD students, among them PhD students from our faculty, were invited on the base of an international call to present drafts for journal articles. Eight international leading scientists discussed the drafts and presented their own recent research. The participants applauded the organisers Birgit Pfau-Effinger (member of the ESPANet board), Ralf Och and Thurid Eggers for organising the very inspiring event supported by the CGG and the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences.
