For the second time, a seminar on digital transformation in the public sector will be held at the Chair of Public Management in the summer semester of 2024. Students of the PUNO master's program conduct interviews with experts from academia and practice on various topics. The results of their research are compiled into six- to eight-minute short films and presented at a film night at the end of the semester. Subsequently, the films will also be shown on the University of Hamburg's media platform "Lecture2Go" so that also other students can gain insight into the digital transformation of the public sector.
In total, four student teams are delving into different aspects of digital transformation. The topics include best practices of e-Government, potentials of AI in the public sector, digitization of hospitals, and cyber security at universities.
Through the seminar, students will gain insight into various facets of digitization in the public sector, as well as new technical skills. Prof. Dr. Rick Vogel and Sandra Henninger will collaborate with the Media Competence Center (MCC) for the seminar, which will train participants in film production, sound recording, and editing techniques.
The seminar is part of the funding program “Digitale Lehre” of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Hamburg.
