We supervise purpose-driven Bachelor's and Master's theses that align with our research programme.

Bachelor's Theses

We offer four supervision slots per year for Bachelor's theses, each starting at the beginning of a quarter. We supervise up to five theses per slot. Please follow the steps below, taking into account the deadlines listed:

1. Please submit your application on time in the form of a short exposé to rick.vogel"AT"uni-hamburg.de. The exposé should be brief (max. 2 pages) and include the problem statement, research objective, methodological approach, and initial literature. You may consult our literature guidelines for orientation.
2. You will receive a response (acceptance or rejection) within two weeks, including feedback on your proposal. In some cases, you may be placed on a waiting list and will move up if other students decline their supervision offer.
3. Before the official start of the thesis, please send the registration form to rick.vogel"AT"uni-hamburg.de. You will receive the signed form in return. It is your responsibility to submit the form to the Examination Office.

Master's Theses

There are no fixed deadlines for Master's thesis supervision. If you are interested, please get in touch with rick.vogel"AT"uni-hamburg.de to discuss your proposal.
