After the successful start of the international research project TaiGer in Taipei in April, the Taiwanese cooperation partners Dr Helen Liu and Mimi Guo visited the University of Hamburg on 7th July.
Their visit included a project meeting with Prof. Dr. Rick Vogel and Anne Dahlweg, M. Sc. to discuss first results of their research on implicit theories. The guests also got to know the team of the professorship and exchanged information on current research projects. In addition, Dr. Helen Liu and Mimi Guo were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Cord Jakobeit, Dean of the WiSo Faculty.
The National Taiwan University (NTU) and the University of Hamburg both offer exchange opportunities for students. In this context, the cooperation partners also met with PUNO students who will be visiting the Taipei in the upcoming winter semester as well as with NTU students who are currently on an exchange at the UHH. On 8th July, a barbecue rounded off the successful meeting of the project team.
In addition to the constant cooperation in the TaiGer project, the international project team already plans the next personal exchange: In spring 2024, Prof. Dr. Rick Vogel will hold a course at NTU and accompany a group of PUNO students to NTU as part of a seminar. In addition, Anne Dahlweg, M. Sc. will embark on a three-month research exchange at the university in Taipei in spring.
