Reflection and virtual reality formats for the education and training of tomorrow's change-makers
At the heart of the project is a two-phase teaching concept, two seminars that build on each other. Through interactive methods, participants gain theoretical and practical insights as well as personal, professional and life-giving insights. The aim is is to realise the combination of reflection and in-depth understanding in the form of virtual reality measures in order to enable learners to understand and act as agents of change.
The first phase is a "reflection seminar". Participants primarily engage in (professional) biographical and visionary reflection based on psychological insights. In the second phase, the learners come into direct contact with social and ecological problems. Since this is not always easy to achieve through traditional formats such as lectures on facts and figures, documentaries and guest lectures, the first step of this seminar is to try out a new method: Virtual Reality formats. Virtual Reality applications provide visual compensation in digital space and allow for novel experiences in terms of location and situation. The visualisations are intended to give students a deeper understanding of global challenges.
