Silviya Svejenova, Copenhagen Business School
Silviya Svejenova is Professor of Leadership and Innovation at the Department of Organization, Copenhagen Business School, and academic co-director of the CBS Leadership Centre and of imagine. Creative Industries and Institutions research centre. Silviya’s research examines questions about, among others, the expansion of new CXO roles, category emergence, renewal of creative work, and organization for sustainable futures, often through temporality and multimodality perspectives. She is currently working on a project about the institutional renewal of the public library and is co-editing a special issue on rediscovering and theorizing craft in Organization Studies. Her work has appeared in leading journals, e.g., Organization Science, Organization Studies (OS), Journal of Management Studies, Journal of International Business Studies. She has published two books on executive roles with Cambridge and Oxford University Press, the former a runner-up for AoM’s George R. Terry Book Award. Silviya has received several best paper awards, including the Roland Calori Prize for best paper in OS. She has been Chair of EGOS, the European Group for Organizational Studies, and long-term co-organizer of its PhD workshop, as well as Senior Editor of OS. Currently she chairs the Board of SCANCOR, the Scandinavian Consortium for Organizational Research, with locations at Stanford and Harvard, and is VP research on the Board of IFSAM, the International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management. She serves on the Editorial Boards of the Academy of Management Review and Organization Theory.
