Glocalpower
Die BMBF-Nachwuchsgruppe GLOCALPOWER untersuchte Governance und politische Ökonomie afrikanischer Energiewendeprozesse mit Fallstudien in Ghana, Sambia und Südafrika. Das Team an der Universität Hamburg befasste sich speziell mit der Gestaltung und den Wirkungen von Politik-Instrumenten für eine glokale Energietransition und betreibt Theoriebildung zu postkolonialer Umweltgovernance. Darüberhinaus befassten wir uns mit Derisking-Strategien und grünen Investitionspolitiken. Ein weiteres Vorhaben prüfte diskursanalytisch, welche Transformationsvorstellungen in Projekte des Green Climate Fund eingeschrieben und in Projektlogiken übersetzt werden.
Das Team an der Universität Kassel unter Leitung von Dr. Simone Claar befasste sich mit der systemischen Bedeutung grüner globaler Fonds und Finanzströme, v.a. mit Fokus auf Südafrika, Sambia und Äthiopien.
Unser abschließendes Transferprojekt zielte darauf ab, System- und Transformationswissen für Entscheider bereitzustellen und zu kommunizieren. Wir gaben Empfehlungen für die Gestaltung und Governance grüner Fonds und Politikinstrumente und führten einen Dialogprozess mit deutschen energie- und entwicklungspolitischen Institutionen sowie mit lokalen Partnern in Ghana, Südafrika und Sambia durch. Dabei arbeiteten wir eng mit Academic Activists und Akteuren transnationaler Klimagerechtigkeitsbewegung zusammen.
